System Software Engineer - Performance Verification Infrastructure

Role Summary

The System Software Engineer will design and build end-to-end performance verification infrastructure for next-generation GPU architectures. The role spans early-stage modeling through post-silicon validation and requires close collaboration with GPU architects and hardware teams to automate and accelerate verification workflows.

This position focuses on scalable data pipelines, performance metric collection from simulation/emulation/silicon, and providing actionable insights to improve GPU performance.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have 3+ years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building infrastructure and workflows that enable performance verification across simulation, emulation, and silicon environments.

  • Design and implement end-to-end performance verification infrastructure.
  • Build scalable data pipelines to gather and process performance metrics from simulation, emulation, and silicon.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects to define verification needs for upcoming architectures.
  • Work with hardware teams to automate verification workflows and shorten GPU build iteration time.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights to guide architecture and modeling decisions.
  • Improve day-to-day workflows for chip architects through tooling and automation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience implementing production-quality code.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, and system design.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Basic knowledge of Verilog.
  • Experience with chip or system simulation and emulation tools.
  • Exposure to GPU/CPU/SoC performance verification or profiling on simulation/emulation/silicon.
  • Familiarity with AI development tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
