System Software Engineer (HPC)

Role Summary

Join the HPC system software engineering team to design, implement, and maintain software and infrastructure that run large-scale deep learning and image-processing workloads on compute clusters. Work closely with product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready HPC solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role expects experienced engineers (guidance: 4–5+ years of professional software development; minimum qualifications indicate 5+ years experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building cluster software, enabling large-scale experimentation, and delivering production HPC solutions.

  • Design and implement software to run large-scale deep learning or image-processing workloads on compute clusters.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define requirements and deliver software on schedule and at high quality.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and tooling for large-scale experimentation and deployment of HPC solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize software running in Linux-based cluster environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience (per minimum qualifications).
  • Strong object-oriented design and programming in Java or C++.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of multi-threaded, multi-process, and distributed systems.
  • Experience building core-product software and delivering production-quality systems.

Education Requirements

Master's level degree is listed as a minimum qualification ("Masters Level Degree + 5 years experience").
