Role Summary

The System Level Test Lead owns the system-level test strategy for AI hardware platforms, defining ATE vs SLT partitioning and driving test plans, coverage, and tooling across validation and manufacturing. You will coordinate with architecture, design, verification, validation, and factory teams to ensure platform testability, functionality, and yield.

Experience Level

Senior — 6+ years of experience in platform validation, system-level testing, or test engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and executing system-level test plans, defining test equipment and content, and leading debug and yield-improvement efforts.

• Develop and execute comprehensive system-level test plans and procedures.
• Define test equipment, test-case requirements, and ATE vs SLT partitioning.
• Write and maintain test content, standards, and automated test execution scripts.
• Analyze test data, debug failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Modify test infrastructure to support automated builds and multiple hardware platforms and OSes.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Verification, Validation, and factory teams to improve coverage and resolve issues.
• Monitor yield, failure, and retest trends during builds and production.
• Apply emulation and platform-level tools to enhance validation processes and platform lifecycle.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• 6+ years hands-on experience in platform validation, test engineering, or a related domain.
• Proficiency with electrical validation, system-level testing methodologies, and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals and circuit testing principles.
• Experience developing test content, performing data analysis, and managing debug data.
• Experience designing and executing test plans, including automated test execution.
• Programming experience in C++, Python, Perl, or equivalent for test development and automation.
• Experience with yield monitoring, volume validation, and production test processes.

Nice-to-have: Prior SLT or technical lead experience, emulation and system validation experience, practical AI co-design environment exposure, or hands-on test-house/OSAT production experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related scientific discipline.
