Job Title

System Engineer — Radar Algorithms & Software

Role Summary

Work on radar signal-processing algorithms and embedded software to support product roadmap and design wins for automotive customers in China. Partner with marketing, applications, design teams, and local FAEs to translate customer requirements into device specifications and software solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level (targeting candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include algorithm development, customer engagement, and requirements-to-hardware mapping.

  • Design and develop radar signal-processing chains on simulation platforms and TI radar devices; optimize for memory and processing constraints.
  • Map algorithms and software to device capabilities to meet radar KPIs.
  • Understand customer radar systems and implementation details; collect software reference collateral from local customers.
  • Maintain technical relationships with local automotive customers and map their requirements to TI device specifications.
  • Collaborate with design teams to define RF, memory, and processing specs for new devices.
  • Develop local third-party ecosystem engagement and support integration with customers where needed.
  • Support and train central applications engineering and sales teams on products.
  • Create technical documentation: datasheets, application notes, user guides, EVMs, models, and related collateral.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred skills listed separately.

  • Minimum 2 years of radar signal-processing experience and embedded software development.
  • Proven experience programming on TI embedded systems.
  • Expert-level skills in C; strong skills in Python and MATLAB.
  • Experience with RTOS and real-time embedded software.
  • Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills for engagement with automotive customers and internal stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience building local third-party ecosystems or working with external tool/model providers.
  • Ability to train and support global applications and sales organizations.
  • Strong time-management and project-delivery skills; ability to ramp quickly on new systems.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (preferred for local customer interactions).

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (specified as required in the posting).
