System Engineer - Low Voltage Amplifiers & Comparators (LAMPS LVAC)
Role Summary
As a System Engineer on the Low Voltage Amplifiers and Comparators product line, you will define new products from market requirements, lead technical product definition, and support product ramp and customer adoption. The role requires technical expertise in analog/mixed-signal systems, customer engagement, and cross-functional coordination across design, test, packaging, marketing, and sales.
Experience Level
Entry-level (2+ years of relevant experience in linear circuits).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include product definition, customer engagement, and driving design wins and product ramp for analog products in automotive and industrial markets.
- Research customer requirements and industry trends to define new product opportunities and develop business cases.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps to grow product-line revenue and stay ahead of competitors.
- Translate customer/system-level requirements into technical specifications and drive adoption of TI solutions.
- Support product ramp and be the technical point of contact for customer integrations and issue resolution.
- Provide application and marketing support: datasheets, application notes, user guides, models, and related technical literature.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, test, packaging, marketing, sales) to meet development and ramp timelines.
- Assess competitor products and recommend tradeoffs to improve performance, cost, and size.
- Engage directly with customers and field teams to identify and solve system-level problems and secure design wins.
- Participate in technical reviews and product/process improvement activities with internal review boards.
Requirements
Must-have technical and professional qualifications; preferred items listed separately.
- Must-have: 2+ years of relevant experience in linear circuits.
- Must-have: Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to take initiative and drive results.
- Must-have: Experience engaging with customers and supporting product adoption and ramp.
- Nice-to-have: Deep understanding of analog blocks (op amps, ADCs/DACs, references, LDOs) and analog/mixed-signal IC applications.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with lab equipment and system-level circuit modeling (SPICE).
- Nice-to-have: Track record of driving design wins and working effectively across functions to meet delivery schedules.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or a related degree program. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
