System Engineer | INT PD

Role Summary

Work on the protection devices portfolio to define new products, support product ramp, and drive design wins across automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing systems. The role partners with design, product, test, packaging, marketing and sales teams and supports customers with system-level solutions and application support.

Experience Level

Entry-level - 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product definition, customer engagement, and cross-functional support to take products to release-to-manufacturing (RTM) and drive revenue growth.

  • Research and define new products; develop business cases and product strategies and shepherd products to RTM.
  • Analyze customer systems and end-equipment to identify trends and opportunities for product improvements.
  • Assess IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers; act as technical expert during product ramp.
  • Provide application support for new and existing products, including troubleshooting via lab testing and schematic analysis.
  • Train and support central applications engineering and sales teams on products and system solutions.
  • Drive new design wins and customer adoption through system-level support and promotion of TI silicon.
  • Collaborate across functions (design, product, test, packaging, marketing, sales) to resolve customer issues quickly.
  • Create technical documentation such as datasheets, application notes, user guides, EVMs, SPICE models, and SCMs.
  • Contribute to revenue planning and the short- and long-term product roadmap.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in technology development or demand creation.
  • Strong understanding of device physics, fabrication processes, and packaging processes.
  • Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal ICs and their applications.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills; experience troubleshooting customer applications.
  • Experience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins by providing system solutions.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to ramp quickly on new systems.
  • Self-starter with initiative, strong time-management, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. (Job listing specifies a Master's degree level.)
