Job Title

System Engineer, DCC-PADC

Role Summary

Join the Precision Analog-to-Digital Converter (ASC-DCC-PADC) team to translate system-level customer needs into next-generation ADC product definitions. The role drives product specification, system architecture, cross-functional execution, and customer support for high-performance ADC solutions targeting datacenter, automotive, and industrial markets.

Experience Level

Mid-level (typically 5+ years of relevant experience). The posting specifies 5+ years in systems engineering, applications engineering, or analog/mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on system-level product definition, cross-functional execution, and customer engagement for precision ADC products.

  • Analyze customer systems and signal chains (sensors, amplifiers, references, ADCs, digital interfaces) to identify technical challenges and opportunities.
  • Evaluate end-equipment in datacenter, automotive, and industrial markets to identify trends and differentiate product performance.
  • Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps based on market and system-level insights.
  • Author detailed product specifications, system block diagrams, and competitive benchmark analyses.
  • Assess IC development tradeoffs and negotiate performance, power, area, and cost decisions with design teams and customers.
  • Drive execution from concept through release to manufacturing (RTM), ensuring performance targets and schedules are met.
  • Act as technical lead during product ramp-up, supporting customers through design-in and volume production.
  • Collaborate with marketing and applications to produce technical collateral (application notes, reference designs, datasheets).
  • Support sales and field teams to secure design wins through deep technical engagement.

Requirements

Concise list of must-have skills and preferred qualifications. Degree details are summarized separately in Education Requirements below.

Must-have
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or analog/mixed-signal IC design.
  • Hands-on experience with analog signal chains, including ADCs, amplifiers, and voltage references.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps and translating market/customer insights into product requirements.
  • Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal IC specifications and system-level implications.
  • Proven involvement in the product development lifecycle from concept through volume production.
  • Ability to engage technically with customers and field teams to drive design wins.
Nice-to-have
  • Expertise in precision ADC architectures (SAR, Delta-Sigma, Pipeline).
  • Experience with signal-chain system design: noise budgeting, dynamic range, anti-aliasing, grounding/layout.
  • Familiarity with applications such as control systems, power measurement, data acquisition, or ADAS.
  • Modeling/simulation skills for signal-chain performance and strong analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration and strong communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required (as stated in the posting).
