System Engineer - Audio
Role Summary
The Systems Engineer in the Audio team designs and validates analog/mixed-signal solutions for customer systems and drives product adoption and revenue through technical engagement. The role spans product definition, system evaluation, application support, and cross-functional coordination with design, product, test, packaging, marketing and sales.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum 10 years of relevant experience (as listed by the employer).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining products, evaluating systems, supporting customers, and enabling design wins.
- Research and define new product opportunities; develop business cases and product strategies.
- Analyze end-equipment across automotive, industrial, consumer and computing to identify trends and system opportunities.
- Assess IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers.
- Act as technical lead for product ramp-up and customer integration.
- Perform silicon system evaluation (hardware and software as needed) and document results.
- Provide application support and troubleshoot customer issues via lab testing and schematic analysis.
- Train and support central applications engineering and sales teams on products.
- Create technical literature: datasheets, application notes, user guides, EVMs, SPICE models, and related materials.
- Drive new design wins and contribute to short- and long-term product strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred attributes listed separately.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant systems or application engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal ICs and their system-level application.
- Proven experience promoting ICs and driving design wins by delivering system solutions to customers.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and hands-on debugging.
- System-level circuit modeling experience with EDA tools, SPICE and MATLAB.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (degree level explicitly listed by the employer).
