Senior Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Senior engineer on the Bluetooth IP team responsible for architecture, design and verification of Bluetooth and 802.15.4 MAC/PHY and platform subsystems. Work includes FPGA prototyping, cross-functional collaboration with system architects, firmware, RF, validation and customer support, and mentoring team members.

Experience Level

Senior - 12+ years of hands-on digital design experience, including at least 5 years in architecture roles.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end digital design activities for advanced wireless IP and platform solutions.

• Own macro/sub-system architecture, RTL design and verification for Bluetooth and 802.15.4 MAC/PHY and platform solutions.
• Implement and validate designs on FPGA for prototyping with existing firmware and RF platforms.
• Support validation and certification activities and assist application/customer support as needed.
• Plan, track and report project progress; maintain schedules and deliverables.
• Produce architecture, interface documentation and HW sub-system level test plans.
• Drive process, methodology and tool improvements.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and preferred skills.

• 12+ years hands-on digital design experience, including 5+ years in architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SoC and hardware sub-system architecture.
• Proficient in Verilog / SystemVerilog and RTL development.
• Experienced with the full digital design flow: micro-architecture, RTL, testbench, code coverage, synthesis, verification and co-simulation.
• Practical FPGA implementation and prototyping experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; able to work autonomously and cross-functionally.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with project planning and progress tracking.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Wi‑Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, UWB, Cellular 3GPP or IEEE 802.15.4.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems or a closely related technical field.
