Role Summary

Design, implement, and support hardware and module-level device management for Meta's custom AI accelerator platforms. Work on specifications, integration, and tooling that enable management, debug, and telemetry across ASIC, server, and rack levels in data center deployments.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining management requirements, developing software/firmware solutions, and integrating device management into fleet operations.

• Specify, develop, and integrate device management for Meta's custom AI hardware and platforms.
• Collect requirements and develop specifications for AI/HPC ASIC management and debug functionality.
• Develop and maintain code to collect, analyze, and interpret accelerator fleet telemetry and statistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce detailed management specifications for silicon and platforms.
• Create proof-of-concept experiments and concepts to improve reliability, visibility, and debugability of accelerators.
• Specify and design module- and ASIC-level management so it integrates with data center and fleet systems.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience. Preferred / nice-to-have items listed separately.

• 8+ years hands-on experience implementing management solutions for server systems.
• 4+ years designing or specifying custom silicon (ASIC) management.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Practical understanding of architectural trade-offs across cost, performance, and reliability.
• Experience troubleshooting across software, firmware, hardware, and networking domains.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and in cross-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of industry practices and standards for device management and debug.

• Nice-to-have: datacenter-level management tooling experience, device management for high-performance custom silicon, experience developing both hardware and software for AI/HPC, and system performance analysis and optimization experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows "equivalent practical experience."
