Job Title
System Co-Design Manager
Role Summary
Lead architecture, methodology and delivery for system-level design covering power rail noise, circuit behavior, performance and manufacturing quality. Oversee simulation-to-silicon correlation, prototype/test-chip development, product compliance, and cross-functional execution to enable timely product ramps.
This is a visible, multi-functional management role responsible for technical leadership, driving left-shift practices, and mentoring engineers to meet aggressive product and quality targets.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Typical guidance: 8+ years total semiconductor/VLSI design experience with at least 5 years in technical leadership.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system design validation, cross-team coordination, and team leadership.
- Oversee power noise, circuit margin, performance and manufacturing quality system design and validation.
- Drive simulation-to-silicon correlation and prototype/test-chip development to accelerate NPI.
- Define and implement closed-loop methodologies, KPIs and left-shift practices.
- Evaluate multi-functional impacts of complex features and propose practical design solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, compliance and manufacturability.
- Coach and mentor engineers; set technical excellence and delivery standards.
- Advocate secure, validated AI-augmented engineering workflows with required human oversight on critical judgments.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 8+ years semiconductor/VLSI design experience with a minimum of 5 years in technical leadership.
- Proven ability to bridge hardware/software specifications and silicon implementation.
- Track record delivering simulation-to-silicon correlation, prototyping and left-shift methodologies for power noise, circuit behavior and performance.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, validation, test coverage optimization, yield ramp and quality issue resolution.
- Practical hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and AI-augmented engineering workflows.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration capabilities.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on design experience with GPU, CPU, SoC, AI accelerators or data-center silicon.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, tool invocation, LLM benchmarking and workflow automation.
- Published technical work or demonstrated record of technical innovation.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
