Job Title

SXM Manufacturing Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on manufacturing functional test solutions for GPU boards and related products. The role partners with cross-functional engineering teams and contract manufacturers to develop, validate, and deploy board-level test software, diagnostics, and test-station equipment for production.

Most work supports production at contract-manufacturer sites in Vietnam and focuses on improving test stability, yield, and debug capability for NPI and mass production.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 5+ years of relevant electronic product or manufacturing test experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities supporting manufacturing test for board-level products.

  • Develop and validate diagnostic packages, test scripts, and functional test software with the global manufacturing test engineering team.
  • Diagnose and analyze board-level test failures; coordinate debug across hardware, software, and operations teams.
  • Validate and implement new test stations and test equipment for production use.
  • Coordinate with contract manufacturer teams on test requirement implementation to improve stability and yield.
  • Follow up NPI and MP board-level test setups and resolve DIAG package and FTP document issues.
  • Design and implement tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and result analysis.
  • Develop and maintain test infrastructure tooling and ECO-system to support production testing.
  • Collaborate on DFX methodologies for next-generation products intended for manufacturing.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and experience for the role. Preferred items listed separately.

  • 5+ years of experience with electronic products and familiarity with manufacturing processes and flow.
  • Strong Linux skills and practical coding ability.
  • Programming and debugging experience in Python and shell scripting (DOS knowledge helpful).
  • Proven ability to debug board-level test issues and work with HW and SW debug tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support factory teams during NPI and production.
  • Good communication skills in English; ability to participate in technical discussions and meetings.
  • High sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with PCBA product development and production functional test; familiarity with factory manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
