Sustaining Engineering Technician
Role Summary
The Sustaining Engineering Technician is part of the sustaining engineering team supporting Product and Test Engineers to maintain product continuity after mass production. The role focuses on ATE sample testing, tester operation and maintenance, data collection, and lab equipment management.
Experience Level
Mid-level — requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant technician experience handling testers or in manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on operating and maintaining automated test equipment (ATE), supporting debugging and data collection, and managing lab equipment.
- Support engineers in manual ATE sample testing and accurate data collection.
- Operate ATE testers and assist with remote debugging.
- Perform monthly routine tester calibration and maintain tester condition.
- Manage lab equipment, including calibration and upkeep.
- Troubleshoot and repair testers and tester load boards.
- Support lab bench validation and test setup activities.
- Compile and deliver accurate test and validation data to engineers.

- Must-have: Minimum 3 years' experience as a technician handling testers or in manufacturing environments.
- Must-have: Ability to work evening shifts.
- Must-have: Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must-have: Experience handling and maintaining production testers and associated equipment.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with ETS, FLEX, 93K, Cohu and/or SPEA tester operation and maintenance.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in tester and load-board repair and load/test board soldering.
- Nice-to-have: Proficiency in Excel for data compilation and experience with lab equipment management.
Education Requirements
Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Physics, Computer or related field.
