Supplier Quality Engineer
Role Summary
Based in Suzhou Wuzhong, the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) reports to the SQE Leader and works with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure part and material quality, prevent recurrence of issues, and improve supplier performance.
Position involves supplier audits, performance reviews, leading continuous-improvement projects at supplier sites, and supporting failure analysis for electronic components. Benefits include social insurance, life insurance and paid time off.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires at least 5 years of SQE or quality engineering experience in IC wafer or assembly factories.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include supplier quality management, audits and process improvement.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to follow up with suppliers on material/part quality issues and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and routine quality ratings.
- Plan and perform annual supplier audits based on performance.
- Lead continuous improvement projects at supplier sites using professional methodologies (PDCA, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Support failure analysis investigations and interpret supplier FA reports for electronic components.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in SQE function or as a quality engineer in IC wafer/assembly environments.
- Deep knowledge of IC and RLC fabrication processes and supplier operations.
- Experience conducting supplier audits, performance reviews and quality ratings.
- Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects at supplier sites.
- Skilled with quality tools and methodologies, e.g. QC 7 tools, 8D, AIAG 5 tools, root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills for failure analysis of electronic components.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above. Familiarity with quality management standards such as IATF 16949; knowledge of VDA 6.3 is a plus.
