Supervisor, Reliability Operations
Role Summary
Supervise a team of Reliability Operations technicians in a semiconductor reliability laboratory in Wilmington, MA. Ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of reliability qualifications and lab operations.
Work closely with Reliability Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Quality to deliver qualification results and support customer needs.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires supervisory experience; posting specifies 3+ years of supervisory experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Primary operational and people-management duties:
- Lead and manage a team to execute reliability qualifications with high quality and on schedule.
- Drive operational metrics including safety, quality, and cycle time; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Reliability Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Quality on qualification plans and issue resolution.
- Maintain and enforce safety and organizational standards; manage responses to workplace safety incidents.
- Assign and optimize workload; enforce procedures and specifications to ensure consistent quality.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, employee development, and formal performance evaluations.
- Participate in Lean/continuous improvement activities and corrective action processes.
- Manage attendance, staffing, and day-to-day operational execution for the team.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications; items marked as preferred are nice-to-have.
- Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience in a semiconductor or other manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership of small teams (example: 6β8 employees) with demonstrated coaching and team development skills.
- Ability to balance people leadership with operational execution and to make timely decisions under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience driving corrective actions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
- Shift: 1st shift / days.
