Student/Intern Lab Software Development (f/m/d)

Role Summary

Work with an engineering validation team to support functional, power/performance, and electrical validation of silicon products. The role focuses on test execution, debugging, measurement automation, data analysis and development of lab validation infrastructure.

This is an internship position providing hands-on project work to build practical skills and contribute to product readiness and quality.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include supporting validation activities, automating tests, and helping maintain lab infrastructure.

  • Contribute to functional, power/performance, and electrical validation of silicon products.
  • Support debugging, performance analysis, and validation coverage to ensure product readiness.
  • Assist with test automation and development of lab software and validation infrastructure.
  • Perform data analysis for validation metrics and report findings to engineering teams.
  • Participate in hands-on projects to learn processes and improve test environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical knowledge relevant to lab software and measurements.

  • Experience or coursework with measurement automation and RF measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in C# and experience developing lab software; familiarity with MATLAB for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with test environment setup and basic debugging practices.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work within a validation team.
  • Nice-to-have: basic knowledge of Verilog or VHDL.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or HTL (higher technical school) in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field. Vocational technical qualifications in related electrical/electronics disciplines are acceptable.
