Strategic Healthcare Field Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Serve as the primary technical interface for strategic medical and pharmaceutical customers, driving engagement from early architecture discussions through design-in and production support. Act as a bridge between customers, account teams, systems engineering, and ADI business units to influence solution direction and enable successful design wins in healthcare platforms.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include customer-facing technical leadership, system-level engagement, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Act as lead technical contact for strategic medical and pharmaceutical customers.
  • Drive early customer engagement to define platform needs, technical requirements, and roadmap opportunities.
  • Lead discussions on chip-level requirements, power applications, and system-level architecture.
  • Identify and pursue new design-win opportunities to expand ADI content in healthcare platforms.
  • Translate customer needs into priorities for ADI business units and systems engineering teams.
  • Support technical proposals, product evaluations, design reviews, and application development.
  • Drive resolution of technical issues from concept through mass production.
  • Partner with Account Managers to support strategic customer growth and build trusted customer relationships.
  • Maintain and develop product, application, and system-level knowledge relevant to healthcare markets.

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering, semiconductors, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
  • Proven customer project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel (posting lists up to 50%).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical customers.
  • Ability to engage customers at both component and full-system levels.
  • System-level thinking and ability to connect technical detail to business opportunity.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams including sales, systems, and product groups.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customer and internal teams.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
