Staff Verification Engineer (IP verification)
Role Summary
Experienced verification engineer role in the System IP Interconnect product team (Corelink Interconnect IP). The role focuses on developing and owning scalable verification environments and flows for highly configurable AMBA-compliant interconnect and NoC IP used across mobile, IoT, networking and automotive markets.
The position combines advanced formal and simulation-based verification, scripting and tooling, data-driven analysis of simulation results, and mentoring of team members.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 6 years of experience verifying complex designs; experience with formal property verification techniques is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Specify, develop and own hardware verification testbenches and environments for future-generation IP.
- Improve and optimise existing testbenches and verification flows to increase performance and quality.
- Review proposed design changes for verification complexity and plan verification closure.
- Investigate and script new verification flows, and integrate EDA tools effectively.
- Analyse simulation data (including applying machine learning / data-science techniques) to drive bug discovery and coverage closure.
- Identify and implement methodology improvements and promote best practices across engineering teams.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Minimum 6 years verifying sophisticated designs using formal property verification techniques.
- Practical experience with formal engines/tools (e.g., JasperGold or equivalent).
- Experience with constrained-random verification and ownership of complex verification environments.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog.
- Strong software engineering skills: object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and scripting for automation.
- Experience developing verification flows and using EDA tools; ability to plan and estimate work.
Nice-to-have:
- UVM verification methodology experience.
- Team leadership and mentoring experience.
- Multiprocessing microarchitecture knowledge, including cache coherence and bus protocols (AMBA5 CHI, AMBA4 ACE, AXI).
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
