Senior System Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Plan, execute, and optimize system-level validation to ensure products meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements. Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and system bring-up while coordinating with hardware, software, firmware, and system architecture teams to support successful product release.
Experience Level
Senior-level β typically 5β8+ years of experience in system validation or a closely related engineering role.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system validation planning, execution, debugging, and automation to assure product quality.
- Develop system-level validation plans, test strategies, and test cases from product requirements.
- Execute validation covering functionality, performance, stress, and corner cases.
- Analyze and document test results; communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Set up and maintain lab environments, test benches, and measurement setups.
- Perform detailed debugging and root-cause analysis of system-level failures.
- Collaborate with design and firmware teams to resolve issues and verify fixes.
- Support system integration activities and system bring-up.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and validation frameworks.
- Improve validation efficiency through tool development and process optimization.
- Use data analysis techniques to interpret validation results and inform decisions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; where noted, items are nice-to-have.
- 5β8+ years of experience in system validation or equivalent hands-on validation roles.
- Strong understanding of system-level hardware and software interactions.
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments and measurement setups.
- Proven debugging and root-cause analysis skills for system failures.
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal or embedded systems.
- Programming/scripting skills: Python and C/C++.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test automation practices.
- Experience in regulated industries (automotive) β nice-to-have.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
