Job Title
Staff Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify PCIe and CXL high-speed IOs at the subsystem level for next-generation Arm-based SoCs. Work with architects, RTL designers, and verification engineers across multiple regions to define and execute subsystem verification, interoperability, and performance validation.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of experience in design or verification of PCIe/CXL subsystems or SoCs.
Responsibilities
Ownership of subsystem-level verification activities, from strategy through debug and delivery.
- Develop functional verification strategies and craft detailed test plans for IO, subsystem integration, interoperability, and performance.
- Implement SystemVerilog/Verilog/UVM testbenches, tests, and emulation-friendly interfaces/transactors.
- Run simulations and emulation, analyze results, and debug failures to closure.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, and system teams on microarchitecture, system performance, and integration issues.
- Improve verification methodologies and mentor junior engineers; support project planning and schedules.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- 5+ years experience in design or verification of PCIe or CXL subsystems or SoCs.
- Strong understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
- Experience with PCIe and CXL feature verification and performance analysis.
- Experience working with PCIe & CXL IPs and emulation-friendly transactors.
- Experience on simulation and emulation platforms and using debuggers for root-cause analysis.
- Expertise in UVM-based verification and testbench development.
- Familiarity with verification strategy, test plan creation, and formal methodology.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Arm-based designs or ARM system architectures.
- Clock-domain crossing verification and power-aware verification experience.
- Scripting experience (Perl, Python, or similar).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
