Staff Verification Engineer

Role Summary

As a Staff Verification Engineer, you will lead verification strategy and architecture for complex digital and mixed-signal ASIC designs. The role provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, coordinates across design teams, and drives verification methodology and closure for high-reliability products.

Senior β€” 7-10+ years of relevant digital design verification experience, with emphasis on mixed-signal verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining verification strategy, building verification environments, and resolving complex issues throughout the design cycle.

  • Architect and lead verification strategy for complex digital and mixed-signal designs.
  • Design and implement UVM-based verification environments and testbenches.
  • Develop verification plans and drive coverage-driven verification closure.
  • Lead debugging across RTL and gate-level simulations and coordinate root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor and coach junior verification engineers; promote methodology adoption.
  • Coordinate cross-functional verification requirements and sign-off criteria with design teams.
  • Lead post-silicon validation and support customer-facing technical discussions.

  • Expert-level SystemVerilog and UVM knowledge for verification architecture.
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive test plans and coverage strategies.
  • Deep experience with mixed-signal verification methodologies and challenges.
  • Advanced debugging skills across multiple abstraction levels.
  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys) and familiarity with formal verification techniques.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell).
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence verification direction.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
