Job Title

Staff Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join Arm's Solution Engineering division to verify RTL implementing new features for Arm SoC IP. The role focuses on ensuring new functionality and existing features meet architectural and quality requirements.

You will work with RTL designers and other verification engineers to develop and execute verification environments, test plans, and strategies for IP used in SoC projects.

Experience Level

Senior — more than 5 years of relevant IP/SoC verification experience (posting specifies "More than 5 years").

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities are verification design, test development, and collaboration with RTL and cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with RTL designers to understand microarchitecture and requirements.
  • Develop and extend verification environments, including stimulus generators and checkers.
  • Verify new features and ensure they do not regress existing functionality.
  • Implement and maintain verification strategies and test plans.
  • Contribute to verification methodology improvements based on findings.
  • Mentor and support early-tenure verification engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • More than 5 years of experience in IP/SoC verification.
  • Advanced SystemVerilog and Verilog skills; deep knowledge of UVM methodology.
  • SoC verification experience using C testcases.
  • Experience writing verification plans and test plans.
  • Testbench development experience using standard verification methodologies.
  • Experience with ARM-based designs or Arm system architectures.
  • Scripting experience (Perl, Python or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating across geographically distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB) and JTAG/SW/TAP.
  • Experience with power, clock domain crossing (CDC), and reset domain crossing (RDC).
  • Exposure to low-power design techniques (UPF/CPF).
  • Experience with DFT concepts such as scan and MBIST.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field (explicitly stated in the source posting).
