Staff Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify highly configurable RISC-V cores and related IP to ensure designs meet architectural intent and quality targets. Work on an Out-of-Order Core verification team covering frontend, mid-core, load-store unit, integer/floating execution, and vector units.
This role focuses on functional verification using modern methodologies, coverage-driven closure, and collaboration with architects and implementation teams to deliver production-quality silicon.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5β8 years of relevant verification experience (core/CPU or IP/component functional verification).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities for CPU cores and IP blocks.
- Adopt and apply state-of-the-art verification methodologies and flows.
- Create test plans, develop unit testbenches, and implement directed and automated tests.
- Execute tests, perform failure analysis, and drive bug resolution with design teams.
- Define, measure, and close functional coverage and other verification quality metrics.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and validation teams to ensure design intent is captured.
- Verify components including frontend, mid-core, load-store unit, integer/floating execution units, and vector units (RVV).

Must-have: Experienced software developer with object-oriented programming principles.

Preferred / Nice-to-have: Direct experience with microarchitecture, instruction set design, or CPU pipeline optimization.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical discipline (BS/MS in EE, CE, or CS).
