Staff Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for functional verification of digital and mixed-signal systems at block and system level for microcontroller and SoC designs. Build verification plans, environments, testbenches and behavioral models; work closely with system architects and design engineers.

Based in Sofia or Varna, Bulgaria, contributing to embedded semiconductor products.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of digital or mixed-signal verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and execute verification plans and test scenarios at block and system levels.
• Develop and maintain verification environments, testbenches, and verification components (UVM).
• Implement constrained-random verification and assertion-based verification; perform regression and coverage analysis.
• Develop behavioral models for analog components and integrate verification with firmware for microcontroller systems.
• Extract objectives and requirements from specifications and review them with system architects; interface with design teams.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 5+ years of digital/mixed-signal verification experience.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog.
• Hands-on experience with constrained-random verification methodologies and UVM.
• Experience with assertions (SVA, OVL) and familiarity with formal verification concepts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; fluent in English. Bulgarian is a plus.
• Knowledge of Cadence design/verification tools — nice to have.

Education Requirements

Relevant educational background in electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
