Role Summary
Drive customer deployments and technical engagements for VCS/Verdi simulation and debug solutions. Work with product, R&D, validation and customer teams to diagnose verification issues, integrate tools into flows, and support benchmarking and adoption.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Typically 5+ years of relevant verification experience; senior expectations may be satisfied by equivalent industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead customer deployments and integrations of VCS/Verdi simulation and debug technology.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex verification and simulation issues in customer flows.
- Collaborate with product teams, R&D, and validation to capture requirements and improve the product roadmap.
- Conduct competitive engagements and benchmarking to demonstrate solution advantages.
- Provide expertise in HDL/HVL methodologies and simulation debugging techniques.
- Develop and optimize automation and productivity scripts for verification workflows.
- Interface directly with customers to propose solutions and recommend implementation improvements.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills.
- Proven proficiency in verification technologies: simulation, UVM, SVA, and LRM.
- Strong expertise in HDL languages and digital design fundamentals (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog).
- Experience debugging simulation mismatches and complex verification flows.
- Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl, Make, Shell, Python) and working knowledge of UNIX environments.
- Customer-facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with global teams and travel as required.
- Nice-to-have: exposure to Synopsys EDA tools such as SpyGlass, VC SpyGlass, Verdi, and familiarity with GenAI productivity tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics (typical requirement with ~5+ years experience) or Master's degree in Electronics (~3+ years), or equivalent practical industry experience.
