Report to Test Operations within the Operations Engineering Department and coordinate with Product Groups, Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging, Foundry and PMO.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Preferably more than 5 years' experience in high-volume semiconductor test manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Execute and coordinate test operations activities and improvements across sites and suppliers.
- Interface test operations with product groups and cross-functional teams across US, Japan, India, Malaysia and China.
- Manage daily test operations with internal factories and OSATs: lot tracking, dispositions, test program releases, hardware troubleshooting/repairs.
- Monitor and improve equipment uptime, tester utilization and OEE.
- Coordinate probe/final test transfers from NPI to high-volume manufacturing.
- Plan and execute new test capacity and technology deployments (tester, handler, hardware).
- Implement test best practices and process standards at manufacturing sites.
- Drive gross margin improvements via OEE, yield and retest reduction initiatives.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- 5+ years in high-volume semiconductor test manufacturing (probe/WLCSP and final test) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with major ATE tester platforms (e.g. Teradyne UltraFLEX/Flex, Advantest 93K).
- Familiarity with test processes, equipment operations and production planning concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills (8D, Why-Why analysis) applied to process and manufacturing challenges.
- Good understanding of analog/digital/power product test methodology, failure analysis and reliability testing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction at all levels.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate transfers and capacity expansions.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience managing OSAT test operations.
- Proficiency with WLCSP probing hardware, test probers and map merging.
- Experience with statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
Education Requirements
Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computing or related engineering discipline.
