Staff Test Engineer
Role Summary
Lead test development for mixed-signal and RF products from early silicon validation through high-volume production. Own test solutions across product lines, coordinate across design, product, characterization and manufacturing teams, and deliver ATE methodologies for high-speed communication ICs.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years in ATE semiconductor testing and test development, with leadership of test programs and production ramp-up.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test development, validation, and production deployment.
- Drive analog and digital DFT integration during new product design reviews.
- Develop and implement package- and wafer-level high-speed test solutions (software and hardware) for ATE platforms.
- Perform ATE characterization and provide technical feedback to product and design teams.
- Develop reliability screening and life-test evaluation methods to support product qualification.
- Deploy test solutions to offshore OSATs and support ramp-up to full production.
- Lead periodic test review meetings and deliver concise written and oral reports to stakeholders.
- Analyze and improve test time and yield to drive continuous margin improvement.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; preferred items noted.
- At least 5 years of experience in ATE semiconductor testing and test development.
- Experience testing high-speed mixed-signal and RF ICs.
- Proven ability to own test solutions from bring-up through production and to support offshore test sites.
- Strong collaboration skills across design, product, characterization, validation, and manufacturing teams.
- Ability to work to aggressive timelines and manage multiple projects in different lifecycle phases.
- Deliver clear, timely technical reports and status updates.
- Knowledge of high-speed PCB design concepts and schematic-level hardware design (preferred).
- Advantest V93000 experience (preferred).
Education Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
