Job Title

Staff Test Engineer

Role Summary

Design, develop, and release ATE test solutions for complex semiconductor ICs, primarily using the Advantest V93K platform. The role supports silicon bring-up, production test, yield improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with design, product engineering, and manufacturing.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires significant senior experience in semiconductor test development (guidance: 10+ years, with at least 3 years on Advantest V93K).

Responsibilities

Accountable for delivering production-ready test solutions and improving test processes.

  • Design, develop, validate, and release ATE test programs and hardware for complex ICs.
  • Produce technical documentation and follow test application development procedures.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues using root-cause analysis; debug and characterize silicon on ATE and correlate with bench results.
  • Develop yield-improvement and test-time-reduction solutions; resolve bench-to-tester correlation issues.
  • Collaborate with design, product engineering, and manufacturing to address test and production issues.
  • Support manufacturing operations and production test stability.
  • Manage projects, review delegated work, and act as team lead when required.
  • Provide coaching and training to growing test engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • 10+ years of semiconductor test development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Advantest V93K ATE platform.
  • Practical experience with ATE platforms, test methodology, and production test flow.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and IC bring-up, test, and characterization best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for hardware and software test issues.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing/test operations and improving yield and test efficiency.
  • Project management and team leadership experience; able to delegate and review work.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for business needs.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience in power ICs and related power-delivery test challenges.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS/MS in Electrical Engineering) as stated in the posting.
