Job Title

Staff Technical Product Manager – Electronics AI & HPC Simulation

Role Summary

Lead product definition and delivery for AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and platform interoperability across Ansys Electronics products (HFSS, Icepak, AEDT) within Synopsys. Work with R&D, UX, field teams, and customers to translate engineering workflows into scalable, AI-enabled simulation capabilities.

This role focuses on building shared capabilities for simulation acceleration, intelligent automation, GPU/cloud deployment patterns, and interoperable platform services.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting targets an experienced product leader (senior/staff level); no specific years-of-experience requirement stated.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define core AI and HPC capabilities and reference implementations across HFSS, Icepak, and AEDT.
  • Prioritize AI use cases such as setup assistance, model generation, solver guidance, design exploration, and automation.
  • Specify HPC solution patterns for distributed compute, GPU acceleration, orchestration, and cloud deployment.
  • Extend AEDT into broader third-party ecosystems through APIs, data models, and platform services.
  • Partner with R&D, UX, field teams, and customers to validate priorities and deliver measurable value.
  • Define technical requirements for multiphysics and scalable compute capabilities grounded in engineering use cases and feasibility.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong Python scripting skills for automating engineering workflows and building reusable tools that integrate with APIs.
  • Familiarity with HFSS, Icepak, Maxwell, AEDT, or comparable simulation environments.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted engineering workflows, intelligent automation, or engineering data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic, thermal, multiphysics, or electronics design workflows.
  • Experience with HPC deployment models, including multicore, cluster, cloud, and GPU acceleration.
  • Experience defining product requirements and working cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and field teams.
  • Understanding of APIs, interoperability, workflow integration, and managing external technology partnerships.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
