Staff Technical Applications Engineer - Power and Signal Integrity
SynopsysJob Title
Staff Technical Applications Engineer - Power and Signal Integrity
Role Summary
Customer-facing applications engineer on the Customer Success Group focused on power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) for IC, package and 3DIC designs. Deliver technical engagements, deploy RedHawk-SC based workflows, and enable semiconductor customers across Israel to integrate PI/SI analysis into their flows.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting requests at least 2+ years experience in power integrity, signal integrity, EMIR, package analysis, IC implementation, or related semiconductor applications engineering.
Responsibilities
Work directly with customers to evaluate, demonstrate, deploy, and train on PI/SI workflows and to translate field feedback into product improvements.
- Lead technical engagements, onsite meetings, demonstrations, workflow evaluations, and solution deployments supporting sales opportunities in Israel.
- Analyze customer design environments and workflows to identify gaps and create tailored RedHawk-SC simulation workflows.
- Build and demonstrate custom simulation flows for IC, package and system-level integrity problems.
- Translate customer requirements and issues into actionable product feedback for R&D and product teams.
- Deliver hands-on deployment services and training so customers can operate the tools independently.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and R&D to position the product portfolio and improve presales effectiveness.
Requirements
Key technical and interpersonal skills required to perform the role.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in power integrity, signal integrity, EMIR analysis, package analysis, IC implementation, or semiconductor applications engineering.
- Strong understanding of power delivery networks, voltage drop analysis, electromigration, package effects, and system-level integrity challenges.
- Experience with RedHawk-SC or equivalent commercial EDA solutions.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar) to build and automate workflows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage engineering teams and technical decision-makers.
- Customer-facing experience in applications engineering, consulting, technical support, or deployment roles is highly desirable.
- Nice-to-have: advanced-node experience, chip-package co-analysis, 2.5D/3DIC experience, and exposure to AI/HPC chip designs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (BSEE, MSEE) or equivalent practical experience is expected.
