Job Title

Staff Systems Implementation Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the CE-Systems implementation team responsible for delivering configurable system IP to internal teams and external partners. The role focuses on implementation flow and methodology, partner support, implementation analysis and optimization, RTL design feedback, and power/performance/area (PPA) trade-offs on advanced foundry nodes.

Work directly with frontend teams and partners to map synthesis/place-and-route knowledge into partner environments and enable successful SoC integrations.

Experience Level

Senior level. The posting specifies significant experience in the full IC design flow; explicit years of experience are not given.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include supporting partner integrations, developing implementation methodology, and driving PPA optimizations.

  • Ensure delivered IP meets partner goals and integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams and partners to map implementation flows into partner environments.
  • Analyze design-space PPA and perform early what‑if analyses to guide decisions.
  • Identify implementation and performance optimization opportunities and drive fixes.
  • Provide RTL design feedback, power analysis, and implementation troubleshooting.
  • Develop tooling and methodologies to solve emerging implementation challenges and promote adoption across international teams.
  • Keep up to date with team issues to maintain flexibility in support and delivery.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; a short list of desirable additional skills is provided below.

  • Proven ownership of technical delivery for large projects or programs.
  • Significant experience across the entire IC design flow from RTL through GDS2 on advanced nodes (5nm, 3nm, 2nm).
  • Ability to communicate technical insights clearly to engineers with and without implementation backgrounds.
  • Experience identifying and solving implementation challenges; developing associated tooling and methodologies.
  • Solid scripting skills (examples given: TCL, Python, Perl, R).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with multiple scripting/programming languages and data presentation tools.
  • Low-power design techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
  • Familiarity with Arm SoC architecture, system interconnects/protocols, Verilog RTL, and data-management tools (Artifactory, LakeFS, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Fields mentioned include EE and CE; equivalent experience is explicitly accepted.
