Role Summary
Join the Consumer Audio team as a Staff System Applications Engineer responsible for system-level integration of solutions for speaker and audio amplifier signal chains, with emphasis on smart amplifiers and power-aware system optimization for high-volume consumer products.
Serve as a customer-facing technical lead across signal processing, hardware, power, and firmware to deliver production-ready playback designs and to influence product direction. Travel expected up to ~25%.

Responsibilities
The position focuses on customer engagement, system architecture, performance optimization, and production support for consumer audio products.
- Act as a trusted technical partner to key customers and support customer bring-up and production ramp.
- Define and support system architectures across audio signal chain, speaker path, and power integration.
- Drive system performance optimization, including tuning and algorithm integration.
- Deliver reference designs, validation strategies, and debugging support.
- Solve complex system-level challenges across hardware, firmware, and algorithms.
- Provide customer insights to influence product direction and roadmap.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and proven customer-facing experience; preferred skills listed separately.
- Strong system-level debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in consumer audio systems or related mixed-signal/embedded platforms.
- Proven success in a customer-facing engineering role.
- Working knowledge of audio or system performance fundamentals.
- Experience in one or more areas: signal processing systems; analog/mixed-signal hardware; acoustics/electro-acoustic systems; power systems (including DC/DC); embedded or firmware-based systems.
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple technical domains with a systems mindset.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with audio enhancement, tuning, or speaker protection algorithms.
- Familiarity with audio DSP concepts, mechanical design and prototyping, programming or scripting.
- Experience supporting high-volume consumer products and PCB design.
