Staff / Sr Staff Test Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for test strategy, development and qualification of Power/Analog devices from characterization through volume production. Work within a cross-functional team to create test plans, develop ATE programs and hardware, analyze silicon results, and release products to manufacturing.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years of relevant test engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Key duties include planning and executing device test and qualification, debugging silicon, and supporting production release.
- Define test strategy and generate test plans for new power/analog products.
- Develop and debug ATE test and characterization programs; design ATE hardware interface boards.
- Debug silicon on ATE, correlate results with bench data, and support failure analysis.
- Perform silicon qualification and characterization; develop qualification hardware.
- Analyze yield fallout, drive yield improvement and test-time optimization.
- Collaborate with production teams and OSATs to transition products to volume production.
- Provide device debugging, design validation, and comprehensive failure analysis support.
- Deliver robust, cost-effective test solutions and ensure product quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred skills follow.

Must-have: 10+ years developing hardware and software for wafer sort and final test for PMIC, temperature sensors and I3C products; test lead experience preferred.

Must-have: Hands-on experience with analog ATE (mFLEX, Advantest 93K, SPEA, Cohu DiamondX, Teradyne Eagle or equivalents); Cohu experience preferred.

Must-have: Experience with I2C, I3C, SPI protocols and trim implementations for power ICs.

Must-have: Characterization and production test program and hardware development experience.

Must-have: Strong knowledge of electronic devices, analog circuits and test techniques; experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, sourcemeters, power supplies, electronic loads).

Must-have: Data analysis using STDF-based tools (Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent); experience in yield improvement and test time reduction.

Nice-to-have: Experience offloading test programs/hardware to OSATs; programming/scripting (C++, Python, C#); LabVIEW and TestStand; revision control (Subversion, Git).

Nice-to-have: Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
