Role Summary
Lead technical and people efforts for a validation focus group within System Solutions, responsible for validating Arm Neoverse-based platform software and firmware from pre-silicon through production silicon.
Drive validation strategy, release confidence, and system readiness across firmware, platform software, and hardware-software integration.

Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end validation and quality assurance for platform firmware and embedded software; provide technical leadership and mentorship.
- Define and lead validation and product quality strategy across the product lifecycle.
- Design test strategies, plans, automation, and coverage models for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Provide deep technical expertise in platform domains (HSIO, LSIO, BIOS/UEFI, RAS, telemetry, BMC, etc.).
- Collaborate with architecture, firmware, software, hardware, and program teams to set validation requirements and release criteria early.
- Support silicon bring-up, board validation, firmware integration, and system-level debugging.
- Define and track key quality indicators, validation metrics, and coverage goals to inform release decisions.
- Mentor validation engineers and promote standard processes for test architecture, automation, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience; separate list for preferred additions.
- Proven experience in firmware/platform/embedded software validation or quality engineering delivering products from concept to production.
- Experience defining and executing validation strategies, QA frameworks, and release qualification plans for integrated hardware-software platforms.
- Strong expertise in developing validation architectures, test strategies, plans, and coverage models at component to system level.
- Background in pre-silicon and silicon validation, preferably on Arm-based systems; demonstrated ownership and mentorship on complex validation efforts.
- Proficient in C/C++ and automation/scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with server or infrastructure platforms and production-facing environments.
- Knowledge of system architecture, OS fundamentals, bootloaders, firmware interfaces, device drivers, and board bring-up.
- Familiarity with platform compliance/readiness programs (SystemReady, ACS), firmware conformance, security validation, or customer acceptance testing.
- Experience building or scaling validation teams, lab automation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or release-readiness processes.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams.
