Role Summary

The Staff Signal and Power Integrity Engineer will lead technical work on System-in-Package (SiP) electrical integrity, focusing on signal integrity, power delivery, and package-level analysis to improve Arm IP performance. The role involves developing methodologies, supervising package builds, and providing technical oversight to sub-groups.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, analysis, and technical leadership for SiP electrical integrity and package builds.

  • Build and analyze novel System-in-Package designs and solution spaces.
  • Develop and deliver robust build methodologies and electrical integrity solutions for silicon/platforms.
  • Design and evaluate power delivery techniques and interfaces.
  • Supervise package builds and run packaging-specific electrical analysis tools.
  • Act as technical lead and provide oversight to sub-workgroups, driving design and build modifications.

Requirements

Core technical competencies required and additional desirable skills.

Must-have:

  • More than 5 years' experience in system-level Signal Integrity.
  • Expertise with SIPI analysis tools (e.g., Ansys suite, Cadence).
  • Deep understanding of multi-port network parameters (S, Y, Z matrices).
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic extraction methodologies and package-level analysis.
  • Proven ability to drive build changes and provide technical direction.

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of SoC implementations and modeling.
  • Experience with system-level power quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with complete package build flows and manufacturing steps.
  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies (2.5D, 3D).
  • Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting for automation.
