Staff Quality Assurance Engineer
Role Summary
Support supplier quality for the AI High Density Power Modules product family. Act as the regional liaison to subcontracted manufacturers and component suppliers to ensure manufacturing inspections, sampling, and statistical process control meet internal and external standards and to drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Senior β minimum 10 years relevant experience in supplier quality management.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include managing supplier quality issues, audits, and process controls across subcontractors and component suppliers.
- Serve as liaison between regional suppliers and Renesas.
- Manage quality excursions; lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Support process and material change control, site certification, and audit activities.
- Collaborate with component suppliers to ensure compliance to specifications for power modules.
- Support PCB assembly processes, with emphasis on surface mount technology (SMT) and related techniques.
- Identify quality trends, manage improvement projects, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Implement supplier quality best practices and lessons learned.
- Communicate technical requirements and status to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements

- Minimum 10 years' experience in supplier quality management, including supplier selection, quality improvement, and manufacturing excursion response.
- Strong technical knowledge of advanced semiconductor packaging (e.g., multi-chip modules, wafer-level chip scale packages).
- Experience with semiconductor module assembly processes, passive components (inductors, capacitors), and embedded substrate process control.
- Proven hands-on experience with PCB assembly and SMT processes.
- Practical use of structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone analysis.
- Familiarity with quality engineering tools: FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience conducting or supporting supplier and site audits and corrective action programs.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal English communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence suppliers.
- Preferred: experience in a regional or global supplier quality environment and proven ability to influence suppliers to drive timely resolution of issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Certified/qualified auditor for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3. Familiarity with ISO9001 and IATF16949 core tools noted as preferred.
