Staff / Principal TLP Engineer, Advanced Modeling & AI Solutions

Role Summary

Lead design and deployment of physics-based, ML, and LLM-powered modeling solutions that accelerate semiconductor process, packaging, and early manufacturing decisions. Work across hardware and software teams to integrate agentic AI systems with modeling tools, design automation, and fab/test platforms.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Staff / Principal / Technical Staff). Hiring spans Senior through Principal levels; experience should be commensurate with the target level.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include designing production-ready AI and modeling systems and translating technical results for stakeholders.

• Design and deploy physics-based, ML, and LLM-powered models for process, package, and manufacturing workflows.
• Architect agentic AI systems that integrate with modeling tools, EDA/design automation, and fab/test platforms to enable digital twins.
• Define and promote best practices for reliable production deployment of LLMs and agentic systems.
• Evaluate and improve model performance using structured benchmarking, prompt tuning, RLHF, and feedback loops.
• Translate modeling outputs into clear insights and visualizations for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed where indicated.

• Must-have: Experience developing machine learning models on large and diverse datasets.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML systems using PyTorch or TensorFlow, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Must-have: Experience deploying ML pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Nice-to-have: Proven track record leading AI/ML projects end-to-end in semiconductor or related hardware environments.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and production LLM deployment.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen) and evaluation tooling (e.g., AgentEval).
• Nice-to-have: Experience designing agentic architectures, building knowledge bases/ontologies from disparate data sources, and MCP development.
• Nice-to-have: Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional technical teams.

Education Requirements
