Staff Power Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Signal and Power Integrity engineer on the System-in-Package (SIPI) team. The role focuses on developing and validating power delivery solutions and package-level electrical integrity to improve Arm IP performance in advanced packaging.

Experience Level

Senior level. Requires more than 5 years of experience in Power Integrity and relevant SIPI analysis environments.

Responsibilities

Lead technical workstreams for SIPI hardware and provide oversight for package builds and analysis.

  • Design, build, and analyze System-in-Package solutions.
  • Develop robust build methodologies and electrical integrity solution spaces for silicon/platforms.
  • Create and validate innovative power delivery techniques and interfaces.
  • Supervise package builds and run package-specific electrical and extraction analysis tools.
  • Serve as technical lead and provide direction to sub-workgroups.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required and preferred for the role.

Must-have:

  • More than 5 years of experience in Power Integrity.
  • Experience with SIPI analysis environments (for example Ansys suite, Cadence).
  • Understanding of multi-port network parameters (S, Y, Z matrices) and electromagnetic extraction methodologies.
  • Ability to drive build modifications and provide technical direction.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with SoC models and system-level power quality assurance.
  • Experience with full package build flow and packaging manufacturing steps.
  • Experience with advanced packaging (2.5D, 3D).
  • Proficiency in Linux and scripting.
