Job Title

Staff Power Architect – System Design (f/m/d)

Role Summary

The Staff Power Architect provides architecture definition, modeling, and technical leadership for PMIC and advanced DC/DC converter products from concept through silicon validation. The role partners with analog, digital, verification, validation, test, and product engineering teams to align architecture intent, implementation, and verification across multiple programs.

Experience Level

Senior level (title indicates senior/staff role). Years of experience not specified.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and system-level technical decisions for power-management products and ensure designs transition correctly from architecture to implementation and validation.

  • Define and own architectures for PMICs and advanced DC/DC converter products across programs.
  • Drive architecture trade-offs; define operating modes, startup/shutdown sequencing, and system boundary conditions.
  • Lead and participate in architecture and design reviews; remain involved during design execution.
  • Develop and maintain low-level and system-level models (e.g., Simplis) to inform architecture and reduce silicon risk.
  • Analyze stability, transient response, fault behavior, and corner cases for architecture validation.
  • Support silicon bring-up, system-level debug, and validation with technical guidance.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, sub-block specifications, guidelines, and lessons-learned artifacts.
  • Contribute to internal training, workshops, and cross-functional technical discussions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.

Must-have:

  • Demonstrated experience with PMICs, DC/DC converters, or mixed-signal power systems.
  • Experience in architecture definition and architectural analysis for power-management products.
  • Familiarity with modeling tools such as Simplis and Simulink.
  • Ability to influence cross-disciplinary teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and reviews.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience on advanced power converter programs and multi-rail power systems.
  • Familiarity with Multi-Level Converter (MLC) topologies and power sequencing.
  • Experience supporting silicon bring-up, validation, and root-cause analysis.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
