Role Summary

Join proteanTecs as a senior Application Engineer responsible for technical delivery and customer success for physical implementation projects. You will lead implementation flows from RTL to GDS for multiple IP blocks, support customers on deployment and adoption, and improve automation and signoff processes across projects.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The posting specifies 8+ years of experience in RTL-to-GDS/implementation flow with tape-out experience in advanced processes.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership of implementation projects, customer-facing support, and flow automation.

• Lead a team to execute full RTL-to-GDS flow for multiple IP blocks and projects.
• Develop and automate implementation and signoff flows; plan resources for implementation/signoff activities.
• Provide close technical support to customers and deploy the company’s technology across projects.
• Train customers on tools and present technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Plan, prioritize, and drive issues to full resolution to meet project schedules.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional qualifications.

• Minimum: 8+ years of experience in RTL-to-GDS/implementation flow with tape-out experience in advanced process nodes.
• Proficient with Cadence and/or Synopsys physical-design and implementation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making.
• English proficiency for technical communication and customer interaction.
• Nice-to-have: experience in signoff STA/LVS/DRC flows for advanced processes.
• Nice-to-have: prior customer-facing Application Engineer experience.
• Soft skills: self-driven, team-player, clear verbal/written articulation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
