Staff Mixed-Signal SoC Engineer – Infrastructure Power
Role Summary
Design, verify, test, and validate power-management SoCs used in high-performance infrastructure platforms. You will own assigned subsystems from product definition through volume production and sustaining support, working on the Infrastructure Power team in Austin, TX.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects substantial experience (guidance: 7+ years) in mixed-signal SoC product development, including tapeout-to-production experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include ownership across the IC lifecycle and cross-functional leadership.
- Own design, verification, test, and validation of assigned power-management subsystems through production and sustaining support.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with firmware, test, product, and customer engineering to define requirements and drive technical decisions.
- Perform root-cause analysis on customer returns and field issues and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to system-level architecture and design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth across the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, verification strategies, and validation approaches.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- Must-have: 7+ years working on mixed-signal SoC products with demonstrated tapeout-to-production experience.
- Must-have: Deep expertise in at least one core discipline and practical familiarity with others (analog/mixed-signal design, RTL/digital design, design verification, or system-level architecture).
- Must-have: Proven ability to perform automated bench testing, silicon/system validation, and root-cause analysis.
- Must-have: Experience working with cross-functional teams and customers through the product lifecycle; use of tracking systems for milestones, tasks, and bug resolution.
- Nice-to-have: Broad exposure across test, firmware, product engineering, and behavioral modeling of analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Nice-to-have: Experience improving verification strategies, validation approaches, and development methodologies.
Education Requirements
