Position is hybrid based in Durham, NC.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 5+ years of CMOS design experience (the posting specifies 5+ years).

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities include:

  • Design transistor-level mixed-signal circuits and implement key block-level circuits within a defined architecture.
  • Analyze system-level impacts of block parameters and perform design trade-offs.
  • Prepare design documentation and lead/participate in design reviews.
  • Collaborate with layout, evaluation, and test engineering to guide implementation and verification.
  • Work within a geographically distributed team and communicate technical results effectively.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience (concise):

  • 5+ years of CMOS design experience, with proven mixed-signal circuit work.
  • Strong understanding of wide-bandwidth amplifiers, comparators, switched-capacitor circuits, precision voltage/current references, and LDOs.
  • Experience with Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation tools.
  • Practical experience using MATLAB for behavioral modeling.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in large teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with high-speed data converter or SerDes PHY design.
  • Signal processing or calibration-algorithm knowledge related to converter calibration.
