Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Analog DevicesJob Title
Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
The Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer will develop ADC, DAC, and/or SerDes PHY subsystems for advanced mixed-signal SoC products using FinFET wafer technologies within the Advanced Cores Group (ACG). The role focuses on transistor-level circuit design, architecture evaluation, layout guidance, and validation of mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Work supports high-performance analog/mixed-signal IP used in complex systems; projects may require export licensing review for certain applicants.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 7+ years of mixed-signal integrated circuit development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical design, documentation, and cross-disciplinary leadership for mixed-signal subsystems.
- Evaluate alternative mixed-signal subsystem architectures for ADCs, DACs, and SerDes PHYs.
- Design transistor-level mixed-signal integrated circuits to meet performance and specification targets.
- Prepare design documentation and lead design reviews.
- Guide mixed-signal IC layout and collaborate with layout engineers.
- Oversee mixed-signal IC evaluation, characterization, and test.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 7+ years of mixed-signal IC development experience.
- Strong understanding of data converter architectures and specifications and/or deep understanding of SerDes PHY architectures and specifications.
- Deep knowledge of mixed-signal design fundamentals, tools, and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of integrated circuit product development lifecycle: design, verification, evaluation, test, and qualification.
- Proven experience delivering mixed-signal ICs for commercial applications.
- Strong technical leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experience with FinFET process technologies and high-performance analog design is a plus.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering (specified in qualifications).
