CAD-AES Program Manager

Role Summary

Manage cross-functional coordination across digital design, implementation, layout, DFT, mixed-signal teams and CAD/flow development for IP and SoC projects. Drive planning, tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication to deliver semiconductor backend and CAD/flow objectives.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with responsibility for managing backend deliverables.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on program coordination, schedule and risk management, and cross-team communication for IP and SoC development.

  • Coordinate multi–time-zone cross-functional teams (Design, Implementation, DFT, Layout, CAD, Mixed Signal).
  • Plan, develop and track tasks across IP/SoC development, CAD flow development, vendor tool deployment, and post‑silicon test ecosystem.
  • Establish and facilitate risk management processes and mitigation plans with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular status meetings to align inter‑team tasks and remove blockers.
  • Present project status to internal and external stakeholders and relay feedback to engineering teams.
  • Ensure project goals for customer satisfaction and quality are achieved.
  • Travel as required (0%–25%).

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills required to perform the role.

  • Must-have: Prior experience in two or more semiconductor backend functions such as Synthesis, DFT, Layout, Physical Verification, Reliability, or Flow Development.
  • Must-have: Experience managing semiconductor backend deliverables (10+ years overall semiconductor experience expected).
  • Must-have: Proven use of project management tools (JIRA) and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Must-have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective team player and motivator.
  • Must-have: Ability to work in multi-location, cross-functional team setups.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with vendor tool deployment, CAD/flow development, and post‑silicon test ecosystems.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience adapting processes across advanced/new technology nodes and legacy nodes.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. (Degree explicitly listed in source.)
