Job Title

Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer provides technical leadership for the design and delivery of complex mixed-signal integrated circuits (ADCs, DACs, PLLs, power management, SerDes PHYs) and subsystem architectures for SoC products.

Work with cross-functional teams to set architecture, guide transistor-level design and layout, mentor junior engineers, and support evaluation and qualification of commercial mixed-signal products.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 7+ years of mixed-signal integrated circuit development experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical architecture, design leadership, and hands-on mixed-signal engineering.

  • Evaluate alternative mixed-signal subsystem architectures (ADC/DAC/SerDes/PHY).
  • Design transistor-level mixed-signal circuits and establish design methodologies.
  • Prepare design documentation and lead design reviews.
  • Guide mixed-signal IC layout and advise on layout trade-offs.
  • Oversee IC evaluation, test planning, and qualification activities.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on mixed-signal integrated circuit development.
  • Deep understanding of mixed-signal design fundamentals, tools, and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data-converter (ADC/DAC) architectures and/or SerDes PHY architectures and specifications.
  • Experience across the IC product development lifecycle: design, verification, evaluation, test, and qualification.
  • Proven track record delivering challenging mixed-signal ICs for commercial applications.
  • Strong technical leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Experience with FinFET wafer technologies and advanced CMOS processes (preferred).

Education Requirements
