Staff Memory Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

Senior circuit design engineer within the Central Engineering Group responsible for developing foundation IP for AI products, including memory compilers, logic cells and custom macros. Work covers transistor- and gate-level design through layout, characterization and silicon correlation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and build memory or circuit blocks at the gate or transistor level.
• Simulate and analyze circuit designs using transistor-level simulators.
• Extract layouts and perform post-layout simulations and verification.
• Floorplan physical implementation and integrate layouts of design components.
• Integrate characterization flows to extract timing and power data.
• Develop automation scripts for characterization, simulation, and verification flows.
• Specify and verify behavioral and physical memory models.
• Document design specifications, behavioral descriptions, and timing diagrams.
• Participate in silicon test planning and correlate silicon results to simulation.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Must-have: Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
• Must-have: Proficiency with circuit simulators and scripting to automate simulations and characterization flows.
• Preferred: Knowledge of signal integrity, EM/IR and reliability analysis.
• Preferred: Familiarity with memory behavioral and physical models; expertise in memory circuit design is a plus.
• Preferred: Understanding of DFT schemes and chip-level integration.
• Good communication, interpersonal, leadership skills; self-motivated and able to multitask.
• Willingness to solve complex problems and learn new technologies.
