Early-stage growth role with opportunity to influence the power product portfolio.
Experience Level
Senior - requires 7+ years of experience in analog layout design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform block-to-chip analog layout and floorplanning for circuits such as charge pumps, comparators, amplifiers, bandgaps, and linear regulators.
- Drive die-level integration of digital, analog, PowerFET, ESD, I/O, and PADs, including die-to-bump connectivity and package substrate interactions.
- Ensure designs meet DRC/LVS requirements and design for EM and reliability.
- Lead and mentor a small team and support onboarding and mentoring of new graduates.
- Collaborate closely with circuit designers to minimize rework and follow methodology guidelines for IP portability.
- Take ownership of deliverables and schedules for assigned layouts.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 7+ years of experience in analog layout design and associated flows for DRC, LVS, and packaging.
- Deep knowledge of floorplanning, analog layout matching techniques, and designing for EM and reliability.
- Experience with die-level digital/analog integration and package/substrate interactions (Flip chip, BGA, wire bond).
- Expertise with CAD tools such as Virtuoso XL, Calibre (DRC, LVS, PEX), PVS, and EM/IR/R3D tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (Python, Perl, TCL).
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of layout tasks.
