Role Summary
Lead customer strategy and solution definition for custom silicon engagements within Qualcomm's Data Center Business Unit. Act as the primary interface between customers and cross-functional teams to convert customer priorities into product requirements, solution recommendations, and executable plans.
This is an office-based role located in the Santa Clara / San Jose, CA area and requires compliance with the company's onsite work policy.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years of product management or related experience; 8+ years of semiconductor industry experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide customer strategy, solution definition, and cross-functional leadership for custom silicon opportunities.
- Define customer solution strategy by translating customer priorities, market needs, and technical requirements into product and solution recommendations.
- Lead solution definition for RFIs, RFQs, SOWs, PRDs, and customer-specific engagement plans.
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, Architecture, and Engineering to assess opportunity fit, scope, trade-offs, and engagement strategy.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Sales.
- Support opportunity qualification, pricing inputs, commercial assumptions, NRE models, business-case development, and revenue planning.
- Prepare clear product, technical, and business content for customer meetings, executive reviews, and product commitment decisions.
- Contribute customer-driven inputs to platform and technology roadmaps and improve customer engagement/process templates and governance.

- Must-have: 5+ years of product management or related work experience with demonstrated product/solution leadership and customer-facing experience.
- Must-have: Experience defining solution scope, requirements, and executable plans (RFI/RFQ/SOW/PRD experience).
- Must-have: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and support executive-level decision making.
- Must-have: Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and customer engagement skills.
- Nice-to-have: Semiconductor industry experience (preferred 8+ years), familiarity with hyperscale cloud providers, AI infrastructure, networking, chiplets, packaging, and data center systems.
- Nice-to-have: Commercial and financial planning skills including pricing inputs, investment analysis, and business-case development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required. Advanced degrees (Master's, Doctorate) may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years). An MBA or advanced technical degree is preferred.
