Job Title
Staff Implementation Engineer
Role Summary
Join Solution Engineering to develop end-to-end sign-off methodology, implementation flows, and large-scale automation for complex compute and multi-die SoCs. The role focuses on timing, power, PDN/IR, thermal, test and yield convergence across advanced process nodes and on collaborating with internal design teams, foundries and EDA partners.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Staff). No specific years-of-experience requirement stated.
Responsibilities
Deliver and lead methodology, tool integration and automation for silicon sign-off across multiple domains.
- Develop multi-die sign-off flows and automation to optimize Fmax and Power/GHz.
- Create PVT-, Vdrop- and thermal-aware methodologies for multi-voltage designs, advanced clocking, critical-path analysis and silicon variation.
- Integrate industry tools and in-house statistical/analytical algorithms and ML methods to identify and resolve STA, IR/PDN and thermal bottlenecks.
- Define requirements and develop CAD solutions including external EDA tool integration.
- Lead product-level implementation and sign-off, coordinating with design teams, foundry and ecosystem partners.
Requirements
Core technical skills and practical experience required for the role.
- Strong expertise in end-to-end silicon convergence: IP characterization, EDA algorithms, RC, STA and PDN analysis for on-chip and package domains.
- Proven hands-on experience building large-scale automation for co-optimizing performance, power and area (PPA) and for sign-off flows.
- Experience analyzing data to drive measurable improvements in sign-off methodology and workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C and Tcl.
- Proficiency with version control (git), distributed processing and disk management.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with evolving problem statements and cross-functional teams.
-
Nice-to-have: experience with multi-die SoC flows, IR and STA convergence, SoC interfaces, budgeting/constraints and UPF; experience collaborating on 3nm/2nm process nodes and with foundry/EDA partners.
Education Requirements
