Staff FPGA Engineer, Intelligence Systems
Role Summary
Join Anduril's Intelligence Systems team in Reston to design, implement, test, and bring up FPGA-based systems on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms supporting Intelligence Community customers. The role focuses on digital circuit design, HDL development, system-level integration, and rapid hardware bring-up.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, integration, verification, and hands-on hardware bring-up of FPGA systems.
- Develop, test, and implement FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms.
- Integrate third-party IP and vendor cores as required.
- Participate across the full design lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and board bring-up.
- Implement high-speed communications (Ethernet, serial) and signal-processing logic (analog/digital).
- Ensure designs meet safety and performance standards with traceability to top-level requirements.
- Investigate and resolve HDL- and system-level bugs discovered during hands-on testing.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- 12+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience.
- Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog; expert SystemVerilog is preferred.
- Experience with Xilinx SoC platforms; experience with Vivado, ModelSim, or Quartus.
- Experience with SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Nice-to-have
- Experience designing for safety-critical functions and high-speed bus interfaces.
- Experience leading and managing FPGA engineering teams.
- Experience creating and maintaining FPGA development processes and full lifecycle product development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is specified. The posting also requires the ability to possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
